Company culture develops as a result of business considerations, workforce demographics or even leadership personality. In recent years, government action has created cultural challenges with new compliance requirements. As an attorney in Arizona, Jennifer Ward has been on the front lines of helping companies who are used to an employer-friendly atmosphere deal with significant employee-friendly changes like medical marijuana, paid sick leave and changes to the exemption requirements. Jennifer will share her experience advising employers who struggle to align their preferred culture with clashing compliance requirements and provide participants with best practices for how to cope.
