Red Ribbon Networking - Feeding Matters

Red Ribbon Networking Event
Join us for an Open House at Feeding Matters on
Wednesday, August 20th from 4:30-7:00 PM,
with ribbon cutting at 5:15 PM.

Most people are unaware of pediatric feeding struggles despite the fact that this issue affects 15,000 children in Arizona. Pediatric feeding struggles cause infants and children to cough, choke, gag, and vomit at every meal and are often an indication of a larger diagnosis, such as cerebral palsy or autism.  Due to a lack of education for medical professionals, feeding struggles are often dismissed as a phase, delaying intervention and prolonging the pain and suffering of fragile children.  Struggling to eat is an early indicator of more than 200 other diagnoses including autism and severe food allergies.  Feeding Matters exists to improve education for medical professionals regarding pediatric feeding struggles, provide support to families facing this isolating journey, and raise awareness throughout the community.

For the past four years, Feeding Matters was in donated office space, but recently moved in to its very own space.  In celebration, the organization would like to invite the community to join us for a ribbon cutting and grand opening. Come to learn more about the work we do in Scottsdale and around the world!
